ANSWER TO Eric (below): That was Nina Gerber, the longtime accompanist of Kate Wolf (who wrote that song). Nina and Scott Nygaard each play on about half the songs on the Reason & Rhyme album, which I'm glad you love! Kathy recently got to play with Nina during a series of benefits for and tributes to Sarah Elizabeth Campbell, and digits are crossed that it'll happen again.

ANSWER TO Christa (below): What Do You Dream About? and, indeed, any of Kathy's CDs not currently available through CD Baby or County Sales or other outlets are available from us. Just write <petert@kathykallick.com>. Thanks for your interest & support!

ANSWER TO Theresa (below): Kathy never recorded "My Florida Sunshine," but Claire Lynch did … on her 2010 Rounder album, "Whatcha Gonna Do." It's a Bill Monroe song from the 1970s.

ANSWER to Laurel (below): The Good Ol' Persons recorded my song, "Center Of the World," on "Part Of a Story." You can see all the lyrics and listen to it here. It's also part of Kathy's gospel collection, "Count Your Blessings," released in 2011. Thanks for your interest!

Big Thanks to everyone for all the kind words!

Looking forward to seeing you soon - KK

I am looking for the lyrics of a song I think I heard from you, Kathy. About a sparrow....further lyrics to the one I am looking for: You think you're the center of the world /I think I'm the center of the world /In our hearts we know we're wrong /God made the sparrow the center of the world! Is that one I heard you do? Who wrote it? I would love to hear it again, and play it on my radio show! I am on mudcat as "open mike" thanks for the music!

Hello Kathy, Kim Thomas here. I don't know if you remember me from Grinnell way back in 1972-3. I was thinking about you because I was practicing Colorado Lonely One (not sure if that's the real title). Always have liked that song. Just thought I'd Google you and say hi if I could find you. All the best, Kim

My wife and two boys saw you yesterday at the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley for the 19th annual Mother's Day show. We brought Erick, 7 and Reggie, 4, to the concert and they had a wonderful time as did the whole audience! We heard about the show from the RDS newsletter sent out Friday and we're mighty glad we did! I hope we see you there again next Monther's Day! Thanks so much. Best - Rick

I never missed you guys at the Freight and Salvage during the 70s. Great memories. Kathy was kind enough to compliment my voice when I got up the nerve to do an open mike song. I just bought "Together" and LOVE it. Thanks "for the memories" and great music.

I Met Amy as a travel RN in Pleasant Hill. She enlightened me to the band while working with her. Any upcoming Shows in the Bay Area? Would love to see and enjoy the band live.

I was given "What Do You Dream About" years ago when I was teaching preschool and enjoyed it very much with my class (the kids especially loved "Garbage Man"). Now I am enjoying it again...my 10 wk old daughter will instantly calm when I play it for her when she's fussing! That was what sent me looking for more of your music...can't wait to hear "Use a Napkin!"

  18. Michelle Areyzaga | March 25th, 2007 at 3:39 PM

Your niece Emily (and her Dad Paul) loaned us "Use a Napkin, NOT your Mom". Billy (who just turned 3) and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I hope to be in touch with you soon to buy our own (autographed??) copy! You are just wonderful, Kathy, and I truly admire the beauty and ease with which you use your voice.

  19. Amanda Lynn Johnson | September 30th, 2006 at 5:05 PM
