Time

Time is the 17th album released by Kathy, recordings which include over 100 of her original songs.

The previous Kathy Kallick Band CD, Between the Hollow and the High-Rise, was released two years ago. That CD—and its title track, “Where Is My Little Cabin Home”—spent more time in the BU and BMP national bluegrass charts than any other 2010-11 release, and also were the highest-ranked bluegrass releases on the folk-dj chart in those years.

Time promises to continue the standard of excellence set by the KKB in recent years. In addition to four unique and powerful Kathy Kallick originals plus two sizzling instrumentals written by band members Tom Bekeny and Greg Booth, the album contains fresh interpretations of songs learned from Bill Monroe, Vern & Ray, the Delmore Brothers, Fiddlin’ Arthur Smith, Rose Maddox/Mike Seeger, and Kathy's mother. This mixture of original and classic material mirrors the distinctive combination of traditional and contemporary sensibilities that have come to define the Kathy Kallick Band.
